Being up to date on Tesla's product and process updates, training materials, and cross-departmental knowledge is critical to providing an exceptional customer experience. The Senior Content Specialist on the Field Engagement Team is key to continuing Tesla’s growth and providing improved internal resources and relevant field updates.

The ideal candidate has a passion for written and verbal communication, as well as extensive writing experience. They possess natural leadership skills, are innovative, and a critical thinker. They will work within a highly functioning team and must be self-motivated. They have the desire and ability to navigate through multiple competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that changes day to day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Counsel senior-level executives and work holistically across functions to drive a unified voice and amplify and align key messages and content
  • Curate, lead and execute communication strategies that support our field teams in understanding company initiatives and the whys behind them
  • Thought partner in developing new and innovative content, including audio-visual media
  • Develop content with multiple cross-functional stakeholders that is in line with brand tone and voice to support positive client interactions
  • Review and edit articles for grammar and technical accuracy prior to publishing and audit existing content and materials for accuracy and relevancy, and archive as needed
  • Learn about our customers and products and take the initiative to propose new content to our team and business partners
  • Practiced ability to respect confidential information as well as availability to work on additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs

Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in communications; experience in a retail organization a plus; Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills and experience partnering with C-Suite executives to deliver consistent messages through different voices
  • Strong ability to deliver communications to multiple levels of an organization, from senior executives to field-level employees all the while developing narratives for diverse audiences and using multiple channels for engagement
  • Track record of impact and result, rigorous, detail-oriented, critical thinker and performance-driven coupled with strong interpersonal skills. Works well independently and collaboratively with effective verbal communicator who can lead and speak in front of key business partners and stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to influence others to achieve desired results and meet all deadlines; Strong ability to recognize and respond to multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Create communication and resources that are Intuitive & simplified; Ability to edit and proofread communications before publishing with the ability to synthesize and simplify complex information
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure coupled with the ability to proactively identify opportunities or challenges within scope of team/role and find solutions
  • Multilingual speaking and writing skills desired and the ability to travel locally or out of state
